What To Expect
When you make your initial call to us (Center Locations) ask to speak with one of our Learning Coordinators. Our goal is to understand your/your child's reading and learning strengths and weaknesses, and then make an appropriate recommendation. If our services address your concerns, this is our process.
1. Initial Assessment 2. Parent Consultation & Recommendation of Plan of Action 3. Admissions 4. Sessions & Team-to-One Meetings 5. Progress Reports 6. Post Assessment and Consultation
How do we know if we can help? An assessment provides our staff with a picture of your child's reading and learning processes. We'll make a recommendation for services only if the assessment indicates a weakness in one or more of these processes. Learn more...
Parent Consultation & Plan of Action recommendation
At the parent consultation, we'll carefully review with you the results of the assessment and our recommendations. Langsford Learning Acceleration Centers does not use programs with worksheets in which each client would perform the same tasks on the same day or session hour. Instead, we assemble a unique plan for each client based on individual needs, utilizing the most effective approaches available.
The Admissions step prepares our Team to work with your child towards a successful outcome. Learn more...
Sessions and Team-To-OneTM Meetings
All our sessions are one-to-one sessions, start on the hour, and are 55 minutes in length. The 5 minutes between sessions are used for resting, grabbing a snack or using the facilities.
Langsford Learning Acceleration Centers use a “Team-To-One"TM approach. When a client enrolls, a Learning Coordinator develops an individualized plan of action for that client. The plan of action is then carried out in one-to-one sessions by highly trained instructors. Although this plan is developed before a client begins sessions, it is never really complete. The Team, consisting of a Learning Coordinator and instructors, continuously work together to evaluate the client’s progress and adjusts the plan as needed. Thus, the Team-To-OneTM approach means that there is always a team standing behind any staff member working with a client.
After approximately every 20 hours of learning sessions, the Learning Coordinator updates clients, parents, classroom teachers, and other professionals on progress and concerns. In many ways, these meetings are as important as the one-to-one learning sessions because they enable us to make refinements, discuss and address concerns, and explore methods to maximize the effectiveness of each session and the overall plan of action.
Post Assessment & Consultation
After the recommended hours are completed, we provide a Post Assessment without additional cost. The purpose of the Post Assessment is to compare the client's skills to the Initial Assessment and to set recommendations for additional services to be provided at one of our centers, at home, and/or at school.

Learning abilities acquired here are internalized. A typical student leaves with intact learning processes, without the need for continued intervention or content tutoring.
"Thanks again for your contribution to my child's success story! At each grading period of my daughter's school career, my thoughts go to Langsford... She was able to achieve a 4.14 GPA this quarter in her Freshman year... For a child who wasn't really reading until 3rd grade, this is a success story! She is reaching her potential and it is a joy to watch!" Lynn, Parent & Public School Educator
"...There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about the great outcome (my son) has had from his time there. It has changed his life in so many ways. He is turning 17 Saturday and he is inviting about 11 kids over for a "Risk" tournament. Several new friends are on the list from school. It has helped him academically as well. He got all A's this quarter and is so confident now. ... Hope the word (about Langsford) continues to get out." Marilyn
